Farmhouse Table

For our cabin we wanted a durable, functional table for meals, games and general utility. Previously, we had a simple 6 chair table which was ok, but quite small.  This farmhouse table is quite long at 8 feet and can seat 10.   It has been in our place for a few seasons and even with a lot of activity, the finish is still retained on this soft wood top along with keeping stability amid a lot of summer rough-play among the kids! 
 

The Job:

Create a long table out of dimensional lumber that can serve 10 guests and fit in with a rustic cabin design for our summer home.  It should have functional support to withstand heavy activity and a finish which can be cleaned easily.
